Default ls6 vs ls3

Hey. I want to share with everyone. I am wondering how it work and any difference compare ls6 (243 cylinder heads) and LS3 cylinder heads. Do you think if use LS3 cylinder head on the LS6 block would make some good power?

Ls3 heads will not work on a ls6 block. The block needs to have a 4" bore.

Untrue. Unmodified ls3 heads will not work on a ls6 block, but modified heads for the ls6 block will work. Long story short it's more cost effective to put the money into 243 heads.

Oh ok, you mean ls3 heads would be more cheaper and make more power than 243? Where can I find modified ls3 heads from store online? Im still research for that.

Sell the ls6 shortblock and get a 6.0 block! then run stock ls3 heads on it! problem solved! cheaper and makes more power!

Get some nice AI or TEA porter 243s and go with those. Even modified LS3 heads with smaller valves would not be as ideal as the 243 stock valves on the smaller 3.898 bore.

How much cost for Ai and TEA. Do I need heads to ship to them. Which I dont have one. What about Texas speed PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads?

They both cost around 1000 bux just for the porting, plus the heads.

Or you can just buy some TSP LS6 heads for some $1500 which in the end is the same price.

The 5.3s are good heads, especially to increase compression, but ultimately come up short of a well ported 243.

Judging from the shot decision, 5.3 heads just for your circumstances.
