Default Would I need to flycut?? Help please

Looking to buy a set of milled 243's for my 00 trans am and the cam that's currently in the car is quite big.. "It was already in the car when I bought it."..specs are 229/242..114lsa 631"631".. Heads are milled .020..was hoping I don't have to flycut or maybe just swap the cam out if need be.. Thanks in advance,Jonathan...

I'd suggest either an EPS cam(geoff skinner) or a Tick(martin smallwood) as
I don't think that cam is the right one for a 243 headed engine....the only
true way to know for ptv clearance is to measure.

I second Martin at tick. I'm runnin his sns3 cam with milled 243 heads. But I run a lq4. The thing is he is really good at calculating comp and ptv. He is a really great guy to deal with

The cam is not that big, you might have issues on exhaust. Only way to truly know is to measure PTV. You'll not find any concrete answer on the net.

As Mark(Pred Z) said best way is to measure still.

I know I was able to calculate your P to V within .005" of an inch which you verified yourself, but I still want my customers to measure even after I've calculated valve drop and tappet lift to the best of my ability.
