Default What year lq4 do I have!!!!!!!HELP!!!!

I have spent countless hours online searching trying to find out what year lq4 I have. I have read post saying from 99-02 the lq4 flywheel sticks out pass the block 1/2 inch. From 03-up the flywheel is flush at the block. Well mine stick out pass the block so I thought 99-02 Right? Not so fast!!!! From reading it also states the drive by wire on 99-02 has 2 plugs one on drive and passenger side of throttle body. And 03-07 has one 8pin plug on the passenger side of the throttle body. Well I have the 8 pin throttle body plug.
The original owner said it is a 05 but I second guessed him because the flywheel sticks out and he can tell me anything to get the engine sold. Can ANYONE shed some light on my situation?
Here's the lnik with the information http://www.lt1swap.com/identify_vortec_engine.htm

99-mid 00 had iron heads. Drive by wire didn't appear on trucks till 03. You
should look for the casting clock on the block.....theres a letter which corres
ponds to the month...a few numbers for day of month and year...might be in
the trans bellhousing area

Make sure that what you are seeing for long crank isn't just the 4l80 spacer.. Post a picture of the rear crank flange.. Also if it has iron heads (and already stated long crank), it would be 99 or 2000 (not 01 & 02).

Look at the back of the engine/dr side. Should be a VIN laser etched there.

I finally started breaking down my engine to start my build. Still having trouble identifying engine. Can't read clock or laser etching due to a little rust on block. So I removed the heads to identify by looking at pistons. I have slightly dish pistons with reliefs cut in the piston. WHAT DO I HAVE? The engine is completely stock and NO signs of disassembly. I thought dish was lq4 and flat was lq9.They look like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS-2-LY6-LQ-9-4-00-BORE-ROD-AND-PISTON-RINGS-ROD-BRG-KIT-STD-GM-/141168081739?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20de45fb4b&vxp=mtr

can't you tell by the head bolts which revision motor you have. isn't 99-02 using 3 bolt lengths, 03-+ using 2 lengths?
^^ someone verify this info plz

also, 04-up will be using the heavier built floating pin rods. you need to look under the pistons for that. the dish looks to me like LQ4, not sure why the reliefs are there. are you sure its a 6.0 motor and not a 5.3?

I checked head bolts, there are 2 different sizes. 5 bolts near intake are smaller and bolts in the center and bottom are larger. Also their is 6.0l stamped on front and back of block.
