Default what heads came stock in a 99 vette

I bought a used vette that is suppose to have some head work done. I was just trying to find out if I have stock castings on it still.

Yeah I'm not 100% sure they didn't do something different with Corvettes but this is just what I found for the LS series in general. I would say unless they have 799 or 243 casting heads, at most it was reworking the stock heads somehow.

Yea I just looked and it has 853. So im on the look out for some 243's. But on the bright side while researching the heads I found that I do have an ls6 intake. Great surprise for me

2004's got 241's as well, not 243's. Only the CTS-V's and the Z06's received 243's.

from what i understand the only difference between 241 and 243 is the sodium filled valves, is that correct?

No, 243's flower better than 241's. 243 was the LS6 head but was also used on the LS2.

You might ask them about the PRC 225 as-cast heads if you're looking at the stage 2.5 LS6 heads from them. I think theyre about $100 more but flow a little better.

Thats exactly what I was looking at. Ill just have to call and see what they recommend. I would like to make close to 500 at the tires n/a and hit it with a 200 shot. Its not my daily so cam drive ability isnt a huge concern. More of a weekend car.
