A lot of people are skipping the Z06 cam for cams that will yield the same drivability with better performance. Have you looked at the TR 224 either on a 112 or 114 LSA? I hear they both like n2o as well.

I recomend the TR224/114lsa cam to almost anyone looking at the Z06 cam or something similar. That was the 1st cam I put in my car and it performed great. Un-tuned put down 372rwhp (in my '98) Drove it every day, in rush-hour traffic with out a problem. If driveability is your concern, thats mainly in the tuning. I got my G5X2 cam dialed in pretty well, dont have any problem driving in traffic and lugging it around at 1,200 rpm with my stock 3.42 gears. You might need some tuning with the TR224,but should still drive well un-tuned

I say the TR224 or Futral Motorsports FM4, you will have to change your valve springs to atleast comp 918s. Good Luck!!!

your going to need some kind of a spring upgrade over anything bigger than stock....i'm doing a cam swap right now with the TR 224 112 cam with 918 springs and they should be plenty for that size cam....

Even if you do get the LS6 cam, you'll have to swap out your stock springs with LS6 springs also. If you go with the TR224 on a 114, you could go with a set of comp 918's for the higher lift. Either way though, you have to swap the springs out.

TR224 is a great cam! I'd say get the 112 LSA for a little bit more lope. They make good power all across the powerband. The Comp 918's work very well with this set-up.

If you are planning to add nitrous later on, stick with a wider LSA (114 or higher) and a split duration (about 4-6 extra degrees of exhaust duration). This is especially tru if you are not running headers.

I agree with all the above answers as the TR224 is a proven power making cam. Driveability is also great after tuning. I recommend an LS1 Edit tune after install to get the max power and driveability. You will need at least C918s for the valvesprings. Since your looking to spray I would also check out the TR224/227 .563/.569 114 cam as it is designed with FI @ Nitrous in mind. Driveability won't be different from the TR224. HTH
