Default lq4 with 60cc heads.

Guys what would compression be lq4 with 60cc 243s and .051 gaskets? I come up with 10.8-9 comp.

What about dcr with a cam of 46 adbc at .050?

This confuses me like crazy. Im thinkin about milling heads for more comp and higher dcr.

Thoughts? Thanks

I cant comment on you DCR but SCR looks "about" right. When I put unmilled TSP Stage 2.5 5.3's on my lq4 they told me I would be at 10.6:1 with stock HG. Those start out as 862's which are 61ish if I remember right.

Ok i kinda thought i was about right. Now how about at 58cc with stock gasket?

This is what i am planning on milling them to. I calculated 11.2 scr.

I just need dcr of both setups. Can anyone help me out here?

We really need at least the following specs for cam grind you'll be using to get he DCR:
Duration of both intake and exhaust lobes at .006" and .05", and ICL, and it would be nice to have the LSA also.

I have all the specs for that cam.
10.8 SCR, I came up with a 8.12 DCR.
10.9 SCR, = 8.19 DCR
11.2 SCR, = 8.41 DCR

So my dcr is very low right now. What would u guys do? Is 11.2 scr at 58cc with stock gaskets? What about runnin a .040 gasket with 58cc?

I want to try and get every bit of power out of this setup. Im kinda leaning toward around a 8.7 dcr. No higher than 11.5 scr. Also ptv will play a big role in this. Maybe martin will chime in on this.

FYI, the only way to be 100% sure you have the needed PTVC is to physically check.

What was your P to V before the first time you measured? If you want to mill your heads, you'll need to subtract the amount you want to mill from the P to V measurements you took the first time you did them.

IIRC you have the SNS Stage 3. You'll want to use the advertised intake close event and not the @.050" event. The intake valve closes @71.5* ABDC. Use this figure for your DCR calculations.

Thats what i have been using. I sent a email the other day. Right now with the 60cc heads and a .40 cometic gasket.

I calculated 11.2-3 scr and 8.5 dcr. What u think?

Before with stock gaskets i was at 10.9 and 8.21
