It's really going depend on what you want from the cam.
Do you want a smooth stock like idle, does it need to pass emissions, what transmission do you have, daily driver or weekend car....?

You're going to want a Higher stall TC (3200-3600) with that cam.

With the 228r cam in a 5.3 equipped f-body, I would lean more toward the 3600 stall size. We sell Precision Industries, Yank, & TCI. Give me a call and we can discus your build further and I can walk you through a few choices.

IMO, if your want a lumpy idle with a 228, then go with at least a 112 lsa or lower.

The 228R in a 5.3 is pretty dang choppy either way you slice it. Though a 112LSA will bring the torque curve in sooner. Check out video clips of that cam on Youtube in a 5.3. On a 110 LSA it sounds like a Magic Stick cam.
