I have looked at them all. They all close as far as price is concerned I see. Hubbard racing sells the the ported ls6 for 139 shipped but never seen no one on here with a response on the their oil pumps. Melling pumps sell for 115-150 depending on who you buy it from. Jake how much is the ls4 pump ? Guys running the 10296 melling are yall running the factory oil pan ( f body) ?

I bought the LS6 pump kit p/n 17801830 for $75 plus free shipping.
I ported it myself with a Dremel tool in less than 35 minutes using the pdf instructions from this site, and added a shim in the pressure relief valve to increase system pressure using the same pdf instructions. I spent about another 30 minutes cleaning it when I was done porting and about 5 minutes re-assembling it. Having done the first with the Dremel, I could do the second in about half the time (maybe 15-20 minutes).
Porting it DIY is not nearly as complicated as some believe it to be, nor does it require the uber tools.

I have did business with hubbard racing on some gaskets etc....
. Great customer service I must say. I just never seen no one say how oil pressure is on their oil pumps. What a 402 ls2 I'm sure oil needs is probably different since you do have a stroker crankshaft in the motor.

Everybody i talk speak to have a different response on the melling pumps so I'm kinda thinking they are a hit or miss deal. I want to do it right the first time and be done with it so I'm still open on opinions......

Stock volume, high pressure. Melling 10295
Melling m295 the stock replacement is also fine.
You can get it right at advance auto parts for about $75 after coupon codes. The 10295 runs around $50 more but you have to pay shipping on that.
