Default Total parts cost/machining for a 408 iron block and bottom end?

My brother is looking to do a 408 iron block motor. We are curious as to what the cost would be for just the parts and the machining, unassembled?

-Iron Block, machined and ready to assemble
-Bearings
-Diamond 4.030 pistons/rings
-Callies crank
-Eagle Rods
-ARP main bolts and rod bolts

We want to buy all the tools and assemble it ourselves.

We'd also have the rotating assembly balanced by a machine shop.

just had the same short block built(only difference is mine is a 4.06 bore and i used the rod bolts that came with the eagle rods) by a local machine shop it cost me $4800 assembled.assembly was $300 so if you wanted to do it yourself you could save that.
ps spend the extra money and get it assembled this way all clearances are cheched.if you assemble it your responsible ,its the assemblers job to check for any problems.

I got my 408 rotating assembly from AP Engineering for a perfect price. They also build short blocks for cheap also. Nothing but great to deal with.

I know it's only a measley $300 saved but we'd like the satisfaction of doing it ourselves and we'd have the work double and triple checked by a competent racing machine shop.
