They're both great cams. It depends on the rest of your current mods, future goals, etc...

Texas Speed set me up with my entire H/C swap on my '02. I personally loved the v3 cam, put down great numbers and driveability was great on the street (A4 w/ 3600 stall).

You should change the oil pump regardless...it's cheap insurance.

your A4 is probably 3.23. When it comes to cam selection, if you're going cam only, with maybe some headers, exhaust etc, I would look at TSP 228R, Ed Curtis Streetsweeper HT, or Martin Smallwood's SNS stage 2. I'm saying this because you're pushing around a 3600 lb car and need all the torque you can get. TSP's customer service is second to none. Call them up and you'll see. You can get a big cam with a name like LS godzilla and make it a dyno queen but your buddy with a terminator cobra is going to embarrass you. I've seen it personally. Do your research on valve events and keep your IVC around 42-46 ABDC at .050" if you're staying at 10.1 to 1. I'm no expert, but that's my $.02

You'll do good with the 228R from TSP. As with any build, money and patience are your friends.

Like others have mentioned it really depends on your current mods, and what you plan to use the car for.

Default torquer v4 cam or v2

Stall will improve et more than gears. If you have 3.23s I'd just stick with them and go with a good 3600+ stall.

I made the mistake (being used to manuals) and had 3.73s put in my car and now I have a whiny rear that really didn't improve the car all that much. A higher (numerically) gear with a stall will make it feel tighter from what I understand.

The 228R is a great shelf grind, one of the best! Do not entirely rule out consulting one of the vendors and see if they recommend a specific grind that will work best with your current setup and goals.

Lift the rear axle. Trans in neutral, brake off. Mark a wheel. Spin drive shaft by hand. If you spin the drive shaft 2-3/4 turns to rotate the wheel once, it's a 2.73. If it rotates 3-1/4 to one turn on the wheel it's a 3.23. If you get closer to 3-1/2 it's a 3.42. Etc

i have a torquer v2 with a 112 lsa and its a great cam. the cam doesn't really shine until around 4k rpm and then it really pulls till redline, however it does develop a low rpm "bucking" which is annoying as hell

I love my v2 but I have a 4000+ stall and a good tune. Pulls good up to 6800 and never bucks or any problems with drivability. I also have a forged bottomend and prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads with all the boltons. Even with a auto and big stall 400+hp is achievable with it.

I've seen 315 wide on stock rims but it looks like it's pushing it. I have always had horrible luck with nitro 555r and nt05.. I was hooking well with mickey Thompson et drag radials.. they don't last as long but way better.. you end up choosing a cam? I've been eyeing the v4 pretty bad.. it's always a hard choice with so many opinions and favorites on here. So many great possible choices though.
