Comps are adjustable (Clearance Issues on 98's)
HS are non adjustable (Clearance Issues on 98's and some 5.3 castings)

bang for the buck if Non adj. are what you need are HS.

The main question being Better/More Reliable: Comp Cams Hands Down

I have already seen way too many HS failures.

HS failures????? I have only seen one post of them failing, and that guy was running High RPM's for long periods of time due to his car being a Roadrace car.

Ditto, I've seen some clearance issues but all were solved. I've also seen detailed pics and they look top notch. TSP has them for $320 last time I checked.

Werd! the only failure I have seen is the one from the road race guy and that wasn't a rocker failure, it was a bolt failure. HS admitted it was their fault and sent him new bolts. they clearanced the original bolts and weakened them.
other than that, there has been no other "failures". Please post some examples since mine will be going on shortly.

If the comps didn't rely on a small stud, I'd go with them. Otherwise I have to stick with HS/or yella terra.

Small stud?...They rely on the same bolt thread as any rocker on the market.

Yea, but from what I have seen/heard, they take it back to the old style stud instead of a bolt being tightened down. With the comp pro mags, your rocker would sit on a 8mm stud instead of a conventional 7/16. That leaves room for alot of flex whereas a HS/YT rocker would actually be "bolted" down and tightened to 22 ft/lb's. Did that make sense?

Not the case. The comp rocker studs are 8mm on the bottom, and are full size on the top half of the stud.

That's interesting. I wonder how they would work out. Seems like the center of gravity would be shifted upward thus placing more stress on the smaller bottom half of the stud.
As for the Patriot rockers, I have seen them first hand. They are very nice and weigh in at about $575. The only thing with them is that you have to use a 7.100-7.200" pushrod and get valve cover spacers and or taller valve covers. A little more expense, but cheaper than the competition none the less. Shaft mount for shaft mount that is.

not to mention..that they are like all shafts mounts out there and require three things...two of which you described. The third being that since you have such a shorter pushrod, it throws the pushrod angle so far out of wack that you have to elongate the holes in the heads...which requires you to take the heads off
