Default Info on CNC LS6 heads #88958622 ?????

A while back there was a post about these heads, but I can't find it. Where can I find more info on these heads? Flow #s? Etc?

LS6 CNC Ported Assembled Aluminum Cylinder Heads Part #88958622

Unbelievable performance from fully CNC ported cylinder heads. Some of the best low and mid-lift numbers we have ever seen from a stock size valve. These heads will flow over 200cfm at 0.300" lift and 290+ at 0.500". Fully assembled with the 2002 Z06 light-weight valves and the new '02 valve springs. These heads have been milled 0.055" to bring the combustion chambers back down to approximately 60cc. Care must taken to check pushrod length and proper intake installation when using these cylinder heads. Old part number is #12480176

WHY are these the HARDEST heads to get information for I have posted about these CNC LS6 heads before, but no one has too much info. on them.

--They are CNC ported by Lingenfelter. They are milled .055, which increases the compression ratio to 11.2:1 on stock pistons.
They have the 2002 LS6 hollow intake and exhaust valves. They are also specked for .560 lift, but are designed to flow best at .525 lift. They have a 250cc intake port which seems huge for the street. any intake port velocity???

--The ASA heads are difficult to run with any large sized cam because of piston to valve clearance due to them being decked so much.

--Flow numbers: https://ls1tech.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...=011486#000000

--These heads are stock valved (2.00int 1.550exh) and are so because they are used in a racing class that limits this stuff. I think they can only use a moderate lift cam in this class also, hence the drop off in flow #s after .525 lift and the milling so much off.

--Here are some pictures and the ONLY real tried information on these heads that I have found after a days searching. If you are this guy, can you post your cam that you dynoed with http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=238515&page=2

Hope this helps. If you can find any more information on these heads let's hear it

$980 is unreal. But can these be had without any milling at this price?

I wasn't able to find them unmilled. SDPC had unmilled bare castings at a great price for a while but no longer. You may want to ask anyway.

The complete CNC LS6 head you are talking about can be had one way only and that includes being milled .055. The bare CNC LS6 heads can be had without the milling. The $985 price is per head. As for use with larger cams, with slight cleaning up by Trevor Johnson my heads flow excellent out to .700 lift. The specification tag on each head shows the stock springs have a max lift of .570. The heads are not ready to use right out of the box. The CNC work is very rough including in the combustion chamber. The chambers need to be polished smooth and some very sharp edges around the sparkplug hole need to be removed. Everything considered they are a tremendous value. The retail price on the hollow stem valves alone is over $700. After Changing to a stronger valve spring and doing all the cleanup work, I have about $2800 total in a set of new ported LS6 heads that flow great, have the light weight valves, did not require any core charge, and I still have my LS1 heads. Hard deal to beat. Mine are going on a 370 cubic inch 6 liter with forged internals using a G5X-2 cam and using a Nitrous Express NXL direct port system. It's being built at MMT now and hopefully we'll have some dyno numbers in a couple of weeks.

SDPC had a few of these heads about one year ago that were ported but not milled..

..Unfortunately, they sold out and no others will be made....I called them about six month ago asking them if they could still get a set un-milled....NO LUCK, however...

...you might try Pace who also sell these heads...

I'm at a total loss as to the cam to use...

Robert, You are correct about pvc with the G5X-2 cam and the CNC ls6 heads. We're using a set of Diamond pistons with valve reliefs. We will still check the pvc just to be sure it is adequate.
SDPC got a shipment of the heads in in January because that is the shipment mine came from.

Hey Bparker:
When did SDPC tell you that they could order you a set of ported LS6 heads without milling?

I asked them recently and they said no...

Hey Goldie:
I bought these heads also but have not installed them. SDPC says they sell 60 sets a month...

...my problem is getting any information from those who have installed them, however...

From what I now know, I don't think the big cam you are planning to install will clear the pistons/valves...

...what other cams fit?
