Default anyone have ap engineering heads? (new 5.3 head maybe)

i'm looking at the new 5.3 liter race head from ape. they say it flows 320cfm at 600 lift 2.05/1.57 valves, double springs, chambers not welded and any compression you want.they say these heads made 400hp w/224 cam and Lt's on their mustang dyno.price is around $2,000 only for the first 10 sets then will go up and no core charge. i've been looking at this head and the afr heads. does anyone have this head or any ape head, what can you tell me about ape's products? i think i may go with this head over the afr heads. thank you ,mike c.

I have seen the APE 5.3 head and it looks nice. The CNC work is alot better than most company's that I have seen. I looked had at the head before and there was no weld in them at all.

I have a set of their 6.0 race heads and I have also been to the shop where the CNC ing is done for them. I really like my heads and they are putting down good power. I still have more left in my 408 with some bigger headers, lsx, and a couple cutouts but even without all that they are performing pretty good. The CNC shop they use is awesome and they do report accurate flow numbers. Give em a shot, I bet they want to get the heads out there and get some big numbers so you will get the hookup.

I have APE cylinder heads. I have used or tested every set from their stage I LS1 to their Stage III race 6.0. You will be very happy with their quality and performance.

I have a set of the S1 LS1 heads, and am beginning to wonder if the 235cc intake runners aren't too big for a S1 head. (?)

well...i've been to ap's shop and like the crew there. i'm looking to get their new 5.3 head to go with my g5x2 cam and other goodies. i had it narrowed down to afr heads or ape's,i think the ape head will be the one i get and i only live 45min from their shop. thanks for replies. have any of you had your car on ap's dyno? if so how much power did you make with their heads. thankyou.
