I need the best cam for my setup..opinions please
Well you guys are the experts so I figured this was the place to ask. I need the best possible cam for making power. I also need something that can be tuned well with an A4. I also would like springs suggestions. I do not want to overdue springs (such as Comp 921s with a .556 lift cam) as I have heard that too much spring can lose some power. Please chime in with what you think is the best route for me? Here are my mods
LS6 intake
3:73 gears
Yank 2800 1.8STR
Transgo Competition shift kit
B & M Tranny cooler
Vararam B1
Breathless powerduct with smooth coupler
TPIS long tube headers
Corsa X-pipe
Borla Stinger exhaust
LS1 edit
Keeping stock heads
Current numbers 339 RWHP 327 RWTQ DJ SAE Corrected

Beautiful car! I guess depends on the how high you mind the idle set, and any drivability sacrifices you are willing to make.
Maybe something along the lines of 224-224 .550 .550 114 lsa XER grind. Don't see why you would need a split or reverse split cam with your setup.

Kind of off topic, but do you have anymore pics of your car, it looks sweet. I have never heard any complaints about the TR224 112lsa cam, it's an aggressive cam that is still daily drivable. Good luck man!

Cajun, ya know I'm honestly gonna have to say you've got me stumped. Maybe a 224?? A 2800 stall is kinda low, but a quite tight stall. Not gonna let you run a bigger cam as well, so its going to limit your choices a little. I'll be honest, my research has been a little limited to the larger realm, as I decided early on I wasn't going to mess with something smaller when I knew I was just going to want to go larger pretty soon afterwards.
I don't know what to tell ya, since you're dead set on the 'verter issue. Wish I could help ya.
That IS a sweet ride tho

those are a little too big for me otherwise i would have asked how much, those are some tight rims, they'd look pretty nice on my pewter t/a, especially once i get the ws9 hood

I guess Its all in the tune.
If you insist on not getting a stall, I would go no higher then a 224 on a 114 lsa.
Stalls are not bad at all, and really wake up the auto. You should find a friend in your area that has one and go for a ride. Im sure they nothing like what you are thinking.

Sweet car! I wouldnt recommend going over a 224 either with that stall. We have our F2 cam 224/224 .586/.586 on a 114 that would work well with your current setup. Let us know if you need anything.
