Thumbs up FM13 is in!!!!!! First impressions

Just finished the install today and fired the bitch up. My first cam install and I encountered almost ever snag possible but as soon as the first 5 seconds were over where I had to watch the oil pressure like a hawk, I was happy. I can't get over how well it drives on the stock tune. I honestly thought woud be lopeier and am kinda disappointed it isn't loader/choppier. It hunts for idle frequently but I help it along by keeping my pinky toe on the gas at times. It eventually finds it at 700RPM. I am using stock rear gears with this and don't have any trouble. When I do have stable idle I can leave at 900RPM without a hickup. It does lug/shake/hickup if I go below 1300 RPM in the higher gears at low speed but that is expected.

Important questions, should I raise the idle to maybe 900RPM and drill the TB hole. What size should I start off with? I used a drill bit to size it up and I think it was close to 9/64" or something.

Set the idle at 800 and she will run perfect. Don't need to drill the TB just adjust the set screw on the TB.

It's a 112 + 4. I have two videos when I first started it up but it actually blurrs the microphone on my camcorder and makes it all static-y.

I will try playing with the set set tomorrow if it ever stops raining, Thanks.

Will it ever stop hunting/sweeping for idle on the stock tune? Or is there no stopping this? Thanks

No tune or numbers yet...Should be getting a tune on Friday or at the least a dyno by Saturday.

I uploaded the following clip on my webpage. It is very large and was taken at the first startup so I had trouble knowing how to get it to idle. I'll try and get another one soon.

F13 video

It is also on my cardomain site.

So, I am hoping for 400+ on the dyno. Think I can amass 40+ HP from the cam and a tune???? Whenever I see someone break 400 I never see where they were before the cam. Would be nice so I could maybe guage myself.

From the results I have read about, you should be right at 400 rwhp. It all depends on the dyno. Some are a little higher, some a little lower. With a decent tune though, I would think 400 or even 410ish should be possible.

I hope so. 410 is what I want but anything over 400 i will be grateful. i will be disappointed if i don't get it and can already see myself upgrading to a bigger bumpstick.
