Default TR224 + MTI 2R LS6 = Overkill?

Is this a bad idea running such a large head with such a small cam? I realize that I won't be getting the full potential from the heads, but I may get a new cam in the future such as a 233/233 or 233/239. This car is street only, but I love power. The heads are also milled .030 to up the compression.

Would I be better off with a smaller head like FFHP Stg. II 5.3 or something similar? Thanks.

Colonel hit 420 something RWHP with MTI S2 LS6 heads and a stealth cam (224/220 or something like that) through an A4. Should be a streetable and powerful setup IMO.

Any cam is better than no cam. Run it and see how it is. You can always upgrade! Sounds like it should be pretty sweet.

With the old baby T1 cam (221/221 .558/.558 112lsa) and MTI stage 2r LS6 heads I made 422rwp and 409rwtq. I had some drivetrain loss with the Moser 12-bolt with 4.10's and 33-spline axles.

Peace,
Craig.
