I guess I'm stuck with my stronger, more desirable for building LS1 block.

Woah now, a LS1 is more desirable than a LS6? Please elaborate!? (I am considering a conversion in a 68)

why do people have to be rude???
If that is what you wanted then congratulations. Obviously by your list of mods you don't need the stronger block for heavy modding, and are happy with the better oiling. Good on ya if that was what you were after.

The LS1 block lacks the bay to bay breathing windows of the LS6 block. In theory, that gives the LS1 block more rigidity over the LS6 block.

In the real world, it won't make a difference for 99.999% of the people who are building their engine. The two blocks are capable of holding almost any kind of combo. Only extremist with hp figures in the 4-digit should worry about the block
