Default Ported LS6 oilpump: GOOD DEAL?

Hey i just bought this "Blueprinted, Ported and Polished ls6 oil pump" off ebay for $55. The Description of the item looks like this....

This is a LS6 oil pump(low mileage core) that has been fully disassembled and inspected for added insurance. The entry and exit locations are hand ported to remove all casting flash. Ported oil pumps increases oil-system efficiency by allowing smoother flow through the pump body. The gerator style gears are precision matched and all contact surfaces are inspected, prepped, and lubricated with special oil to insure maximum oiling performance.

Just wandering if you guys thought $55 + shipping for this pump was a good deal?

Replace the o-ring! You'll find that the old one is probably not reusable.

That is about $100 less than the ported ones from the sponsors. Sounds like you a nice deal.

I saw that one on Ebay also. He did not say how many miles on it or why he removed it. Hope it works OK.

Go ATLANTA.......

I just recieved an oil pump from the same auction/guy as you. It looks good and all, was just alittle bit greasy.

other than a new o-ring, any other gasket that I should get when replacing the oil pump?
