Default T-ReX owners, need to know whether or not you degreed your cam in?

I've been hassling with trying to get my T-ReX dialed in for the past 2 days. I could of had the car back together by now, but I've been spending a lot of time trying to get it right. I dont know if I'm doing something wrong or if something is really off or what, but I'm tempted to just line it up dot to dot and be done with it. I was just curious as to who did and did not degree their T-ReX in. Thanks.

I didn't. Probably should have, though.

How is it "off"? Not trying to sound condensending by any means because it sounds like you are pretty frustrated after messing with it this long. But, if you have an adjustable timing set, verify it is installed correctly and verify the TDC on the timing wheel is lined up correctly. If you feel that something is not right, I would not recommend just lining it up dot-to-dot and leaving it at that. If something is wrong chances are later on you will wish you would have not done that.

Well I cant accurately degree my cam in. There are 2 ways that I know to degree a cam. The centerline method and the .050" lift method. Either way, my indicator doesnt have enough travel to read out the entire step. It will bottom out before reach max lift. I'm not sure what to do but find a dial indicator with a lot more travel.

also want to point out...I picked up a solid 1.4 mph (same weather conditions) from running at 107.x ICL. 2* can make ALOT of difference

Got the car finished up the other day, got a new dial indicator, and I set it to 108.25. Dot to dot, it dialed in at 106.25. Retarded it 2º and came out to 108.25. Jason at Thunder told me to set leave it there because I needed to get as close to 108 as possible.
