They have them at sdpc for $489, not to shabby. I was wondering how strong these were and if they were dependable. Thanks.

I have several customers that use them in Circle track applications in SBC. They love them and get good service out of them. These are on average 500HP IMCA engines turning 7000 down the straights and 5000 in the corners.

Awesome, that's what I am planning for them (383 LS1), and probalby rev it to ~6300-6400 rpms. By the way, how do you like your 383 as far as torque?

I was looking at them when I built my motor, but after talking to TSP, I decided to get the eagles. The Crowers don't come with ARP bolts and after you add those into the equation, the eagles were a little cheaper. The eagles come with ARP bolts BTW....

I didn't know that, thanks for the info! Might have to just go with the eagles. Is this the H-beam or I-beam rods?

I'm guessing Eagle H beam. The I-beam stuff is really cheap. Personally I'd look at the Callies Compstar Rod for a Rod in that price range. I believe they are around $450 with Rod bolts from what I've read.

I too would get the Callies CompStar. Those rods were not avalible when I built my motor. Call APE, they will hook you up with a set. BTW, the Eagles are H-beam.
