Going to put the LS2 pan on my LS6 for better baffles it supposedly has for track use in my Vette. Thanks? Any idea on the price?

MM witch ls2 pan. There is 2 out there. The one on the GTO and the one on the vette witch i asome you are talking about. As for price i have no idea. If you get it from GM it wont be cheap.

What information do you have on the LS2 pan being better for road racing?
I am building a LS6 motor for a C5 road race car and I was just looking at Accusump systems tonight. I don't really want to add the extra weight and a check valve etc. If a LS2 pan is better, that may do the job.
That's a great picture of your car Speedpup. I have only had my C5 on the track two weekends with the LS1 motor so I really don't know what kind of oiling problems I am going to have. Do you have any oil pressure drop off while racing??

The LS2 oil pan holds less because of the better baffles in the pan. Yes it will fit on the motor but I don't know if it will fit in the car! Also remember the LS2 is a dry sump system so you might have some problems trying to get your oil pickup to work right if at all!
