Will I hit 400 rwhp w/cam?
I have a 98 z28 m6. I want to know which cam, or at least how big of a cam i need to go to get 400rwhp and still keep my car a daily driver. Is this possible? Here are my current mods:
lid
ls6 intake
Jet Hot longtubes w/no cats
Y-PIPE
Corsa
K&N air filter
160 Stat
Ported TB
Cutout
all small free mods.
Also would it be worth the wait to save an extra $1500 and get the patriot heads at the same time?

I made 412 RWHP with a 231/237 .598/.595 112+2 and a mod list almost identical to yours. I don't drive my car every day, but I could easily if I had to (Speed Inc. tuning).

You could also add an underdrive pulley, I noticed that you didnt list it anyways. Take Care.

I have close to the same mods as you but I have a pulley. I have the Futral F10 cam as you can see in my sig. I will be Dynoing at the end of the month to see if I can get 400RWHP. I'll let you know how I did. You will probably buy by then but I'll post up anyway.

I dynoed the numbers in my sig with the following bolt-ons and a F15 cam.
Hooker Long Tubes
TSP True Duals
MTI Clear Lid
K&N Filter
4.10 Gears
I don't have any other HP mods. Those numbers were with a custom tune.

Not to mention my car has never been a dyno queen. I think the F10 could make 400 though an M6 in the with the right set-up. With that cam on a 114 my dyno graph is wide and flat. Average HP, anyone?

If you made those number on an M6 you got a problem for sure. Check for clutch slippage, do a compression test, and make sure you installed the cam dot to dot, or possibly the qualifications of your tuner . Other than that you will need to seek some proffessional help, hehe.
Good luck with getting it worked out.
