Difference & gain between STOCK 00 LS1 & STOCK 03 LS6 heads?
I'm looking to gain about 1-2 tenths in ET.
What are the differences & can anyone post what the approximate gain would be in HP & TQ going from 2000 LS1 to 2003 LS6 heads..?
I can get the LS6 heads ported if needed, but again, I am only looking for a nominal gain, nothing too radical, so the AFR 205's would be out, and possibly even the port job.
I'm thinking just the swap to the 03 LS6 heads might do it, but not sure how much better or the gains they give compared to my 00 heads..
Currently running the TR 224 cam..
Thanks!

Ls6
should pick up 10-20 RWHP with your Cam. The LS6 heads will increase your compression by .5 and produce better low and mid lift #'s then the LS1 heads. With all the good bolt ons, you should obtain the magical 400 mark. Most 224/224 guys fall around 375-395 with stock LS1 heads.

Joe... No rollbar in my car.. I can only go down so much before I get expelled from running.. Another 2/10 would be perfect...
If I wanted a bar, the AFR 205's would be a done deal..
Might still go that route, but I'm not there just yet..
