Default Which heads would you want...MTI LS6 Stg. III or AFR 225..?

I am getting new heads, and was set on the AFR 225 heads. I have not really seen anyone with the 225's on a motor to see what kind of power they make yet. I know AFR are great heads, but also know the MTI stage III LS6 heads are some of THE best LSX heads made. I have a 382 (all stroke, stock bore), big cam, big stall, big exhaust, auto, 200 wet shot. both heads have same valve size (2.08 and 1.6), and both would come assembled (MTI would ahve really god Ferrera components). I wonder if there would be ANY significant power difference between the two???

Any input would be appreciated before I drop more $$$.

Default How about this....

Order a set of 225's....If you dont like them for any reason you can return them for a 100% refund no questions ask. I feel confident when you see them, WE wont be seeing them ever again. You can contact me personally for questions regarding your purchase OR return.

Tony M.

PS....Quite a few vendors have set personal records at their shops already with some out of the box 225's....more big numbers coming soon.

I am leaning toward the 225's because they are going to flow as good or better than the MTI Stage III LS6 heads, and eventualy someone will come out with some porting/polishing to increase performance. BUT I can get the MTI heads for $2K or less, about 600 less than the AFR's....

Scott

never heard of the LME heads before...will look at those too

There you have it... These are some damn nice heads. We are fixing to put 3 sets on 3 different cars. One of them is going to be a 427. Results will be posted in video form with in the next couple of months.

Nice. We're waiting on the machine shop for the 427 and the 408 should be buttoned up this weekend. Then I'll through down an AFR comparison.
