Default TEA Valve springs

Im seriously considering buying the TEA valvespring kit, but I dont think theres much real world experience with it yet since its relatively new to market. I assume that its been used on their heads for a while already without incident, is that correct? Also, I assume that its manufactured by the same company that make PP gold and PRC springs, I think the company is "Associated Spring" or some such... Am I to assume nearly identical performance from these? Basically, I just want someone to flat out say that theres nothing to be concerned about, and that Id be stupid to miss out on a good deal.

Thanks,
-T

I was told it contains the same parts as the PRC kit, just bought direct from the manufacturer. I'm going to try them because the price is better.

I talked to Brent about them, and 2xLS1 said it right. Same components as PRC, better price.

nope. We use a different locator because of some fitment problems with others used (PRC uses the updated locator now. I am not sure on the Patriot kit)
Weare having locator custom made for us. Quality and fit are the main reasons. Thanks

what were the fitment issues with the PRC locators and when did they switch over to an updated style.

so the TEA kit consists of an associated gold spring and the custom locator and retainers? i assume these are standard on all TEA heads? and are they only sold through TEA direct and whats the price?

Can you give any details on the differences in your retainer and the PRC. Is there any weight difference? Was the retainer a cost issue? You're not using that russian titanium, are you???

Problem with some of the others spring kits is that the spring locators they use are to large on the id to center on the guide properly. Most of the kits were made for an aftermarket guide. So they were made (dont have one in front for exact measurments) around .560" id. Stock guide is a .500 so a .505 is what we use. Less slop. I know you can get either with PRC now. I am not sure on the others.
What you get is
TEA "gold" Spring
Ti retainers
New Gm valve seals.
New locators
On sale right now for 259.99 shipped!

negetive on the cost issue.
Our latest retainer is made in the USA and it cost us more then we could get them elsewhere. But we feel it is better to pay a little more for the quality they provide.

Our kit uses stock locks. If you would like to use Titanium locks I am sure we can have something custom made for you.

I don't understand that center on the guide stuff. If someone wants to make that clearer for me, I'm all ears. I would think the retainer is going to center on the valve stem by the retainers. I'm still going to try some. I've got 2 cams here needing some springs.
