Default New Patriots

Got my new Patiot heads yesterday. LQ9 iwith 2.055 intakes. I am very pleased with the right out of the box quality look of these. Much more than I had expected. My question is what to use for head gaskets. My block is at 3.908 bore and the supplied head gaskets look like a larger bore. Ill measure when I get to the shop but they are bigger than my old gaskets. This will be a boosted application.

GM or Cometic MLS .045 with 3.910 bore.
If your cam permits it (PTV), that way you'll have a better quench.

If those are the 317 heads, I believe you would have to use the 4.100 bore gaskets. Thats what I was told I had to do for my AFR 225's and 3.908 bore.

If they are the 317 castings, you want to use the 6.0 manifolds, for a 4.0 bore I believe, which ever surface is larger you will use a manifold to match that.

Did some search and I'm getting conflicting reports.
1- some say use the gasket for the larger bore size
2- others said they use LS1 gaskets and all is fine

Perhaps you should PM Gunnar@Patriot

Who has the best deal on 3.910 Cometics? Quite sure that's what I need. Got nuthin' but time. My Patriot warranty will expire before these even get bolted on.
