With ASA Cam, is only upgrade I need is new springs?
i will mostl ikely be getting the GM ASA cam this summer and konw that upgraded springs are a must, im gonna go wtih comp 918's just for more insurance. Do i HAVE to do new pushrods ro any other mods, or can i just swap the cam and springs? this is on a mostly "weekend" car that sees occasional daily driving and i will have Kooks LT's, Lid, ported TB, and magnaflow as my other mods. its an M6 by the way thanks!

The ASA cam has the same lift and same ramp rates as the hotcam. Even the 2001 ls6 springs will be ok. Thats whats used on the hot cam.
Stock pushrods will be fine. If theyre strong enough for the ls6 cam it should be fine with the asa cam.

i got the asa cam and running 02 ls6 springs. they're good to .570 lift. but i guess you can't go wrong with comp 918s. i kept the stock pushrods, but they're gonna be changed soon. good luck

why run a stock pushrod and even risk it when you can put in a high quality pushrod for $100 more? Just doesn't seem too practical to me. I'd go with a good quality set of pushrods and and some 918's. It's not like they're $$$$....And anyways, if you can't afford the extra $140 to do it right, don't do it until you can!
918's are only $40 more than the stock 02+LS6 springs. And it'll allow you room for growth, as the ASA cam should never stress a 918 spring. That way, you could always throw in a more aggressive cam later, w/o having to swap springs all over again.
