Default 3000 Stall, 150Shot, LongTubes...HELP!

I am gonna tell you guys exactly what I am looking for and hopefully someone can help me out...I know you guys can!!

Car is a 2000 Ram Air A4 with a TCI 3000 Stall, 150NX nitrous kit, lid and cutout....It will have Longtubes by the time I buy the cam.

This car is daily driven BUT I am very very easy to please when it comes to 'driveabilty' as in, if it runs and doesnt stall at the light, it works for me.

I live around a lot of fast cars, where track numbers and MPH mean ALOT!

I want a cam that doesn't leave anything behind on the track, but also is not HUGE (Trex)... It has to sound awesome and pull all over the place.

Right now, with the nitrous and no stall I run 12.2@117...this is not fast enough!!!!

Cliff Notes - Street racers wants cam for low ET's and good MPH! Has 3000 Stall and a 150Shot...The cam needs to sound like a beast and run like one too!!! Remember, it is a daily driver, but I am young and my version of 'streetable' is very very relaxed...

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Your converter is the most limiting factor for the size cam you run. Anything over 224 duration is going to require you running a looser converter. If you're a nitrous junkie, stick with the stock cam, it's great on the spray. I ran 11.0s at 122 with my 2000 WS6 A4. Motor was bone stock and it still had stock exhaust manifolds and cats. 12.2s are weak! Come on, jet up and go faster.

Sure you can put in an F14 or G5X3, but you're not going to go as fast as you should because of your stall. Match the converter to the cam or match the cam to the converter. If you're going to stick with the 3000 stall, try a TR 224/224 112 LSA (+4) cam. The advanced intake centerline will match your converter's lower stall and the earlier exhaust opening will work better on the spray.

you know, if you'd quit pussin out and actually hit the button at 2200 rpms, instead of 3000+ rpms, you'd already be in the 11s.
http://www.vincihighperformance.com/...%20LS1%202.htm the 055 is the most popular. but the 066 is another good choice. but hey, i know your preference towards vinci.

Upgrade to something like a SSF4000 and install an MS3, G5X3, etc.

I vote F-13 or F-14 futral motorsports camshafts..13 is more drivable and makes really strong tq as well as top end power...F14 makes tons of top end power with a little sacrafice in tq...I would say F13 on a 114 LSA and spray the **** out of it.

Carter, thanks for the info!

Could I go with the F13 on a 112?? I just like the sound of a shorter LSA...

112 LSA will deffinatly make some sweet noise..but the F13 has a pretty damn good lope on a 114call me up sometime and I will let you hear a 114 F13 car..it's pretty wicked even in a 6-speed car I did.Only reason I say the 114 is in an A4 with spray, it would react a little better on the kit.I am doing an F13 112 6-speed car in a week or so also, so you can hear the difference.I would say 114 though for sure.

Few thing to point out first.
You have **** for a tire, or dont know how to launch a car.
117MPH is much faster then a 12.2.
I would go to a 3600-3800 stall.
Go with a full slick.
Throw a good exhaust setup on the car and run low 11's all day.
I ran 11.3 with mak midlengths through a homemade flowmaster exhaust, home ported TB, hypertech, converter and a 150 shot.
If I were to suggest a cam I would suggest something more streetable then what your probally looking for. I am yoing also and my version of streetable is driving the car on the street. However your goals dont require your car to be a weekend worrier.
I think you would be real happy with a 224/228 581/589 on a 114LSA.
You converter would love it and som would your nitrous.

you might want to read a little. the 12.2 was before converter. i've watched him at the track. he runs ET STREETS.

lid
stock converter
doesn't hit until at least 3000+ rpms (he's chicken )
cutout

i've tried to get him to hit it sooner, he just doesn't have the nerve right now.

hell, before my converter , i ran 11.81 @ 121.35. that's 10s right there if you go by mph. now after converter, i'm at 117.

JZTA, as Robert said that was before the converter and only spraying past 3000...also, I was on CRAPPY ET streets, which actually slowed me down...I switched to Nitto DRs and went 12.2 ... 12.4s on the ETs.

Robert, I know I know, I should spray earlier...but I just cant bring myself to do it!!

Carter, I will be out of town all this week but will give you a call when I get back...Seeing both cams in both cars will be the best possible way for me to decide! Thanks for the offer mang.

come on, you know i've been doing it for a year now. my motor is still in the car in one piece.

now, do like i did and get rid of the cutout and go with the bassani tru-duals.
Now here's results of my exhaust endeavors. This is with 200 n2o and stock converter.
distance ---stock ----- cutout --- Bassani
60ft ------ 1.987 ------ 2.074 ----- 1.969
1/8 ------- 7.902 ------ 7.912 ----- 7.739
mph ------ 93.20 ------ 93.97 ----- 98.60
1/4 ------ 12.102 ----- 12.080 ---- 11.814
mph ------ 117.12 ---- 118.06 ---- 121.35
