AFR makes the only "aftermarket" head.
The rest of your choices would be ported GM Castings from Patriot, TEA, PRC, RGR, etc...

I heard TFS has a nice head coming out very soon as well... I believe TEA does their CNC work.

Don't forget about the new LS7 head that's coming out soon. From what I've heard none of the current design aftermarket heads will touch it.

I'm sure AFR LSx head sales will be dropping soon based on all these new players.

Besides AFR and All Pro, we do have a aftermarket castings of our own. We offer the LS1, LS7 and C5R cylinder heads.

They are for sale now. Sets are shipping out next week.

I do have some pictures of it on the machine but not the "Hollywood" pictures yet.

Which port size are you looking for? 215/225/240/265 cc in the LS1, LS7 260cc and a C5R 245 and 255 cc.

Some features are .750 + thick decks, raised valve cover rail, head bolt inserts, 11° valve angle, spring pads big enough for a 1.625" + spring and interlocking valve seats plus a few others.

What do they flow, what size valves are available, what springs do they come with, what is pricing? Are the heads "as cast" like the All-Pros, or are they finished/ready to go? Will they require any additional components (rocker arms, pushrods, valve covers), or wil the OE stuff work? Mainly interested in the 215/225/240cc heads.

I'm right in the middle of a couple of 408 projects and any info you can give would be really nice. I'm mostly concerned with completely finished 225 and 240cc heads. Specs and PRICING.

that will
One thing we have done when we designed our casting is made it very diverse. We have two different castings that will make up to thirty different versions to suit everyones needs, valve angles, high port (c5r style) cathederal port, street and race versions of both and not to mention the first aftermarket cylinder head for the ls7. all heads will offer chambers from 35 cc all the way to 76cc, any bore size any valve spring size and all come fully cnc ported. The castings are all poured at an aircraft foundry out of modified A356 alloy. The castings are gorgeous. Our race 265 cathederal port on a 4.00 bore will flow 376 at .700 lift with a 2.100 valve. That will supprt over 800 N/A horsepower. C5r and cathederal port manifolds soon to come. Spring pads are raised as well. We will supply a billet rocker pedestal for the guys using stock style rockers. Also clearanced for a 3/8 + pushrod out of the box.

Wow, there are a lot of options coming out. It would be nice for the consumer if all this competition would drive down prices, but I cant see how thats going to happen being that these are all new products and companies need to make back their R+D money. Why oh why does everything have to be so expensive for lsx motors?!?

have you seen the price of a candy bar lately?? lol or how bout" gasoline?
just material costs alone has almost doubled in the last two years. the cost is actually pretty low for our heads. five years ago, you could buy brodix brand x cylinder heads for 1600.00 all your hardware for 600.00 and take them to your local good port shop and have the rest of the work needed for about 1800.00, wow 4000.00 plus. thats a lot of difference between now and then, the only difference is nobody makes any money.
