Default ligenfelter head ??? for 01 z28, need help!

I was at the local car show today with my 2001 z28 m6 and met a guy driving a ligenfelter twin turbo 1998 vette with the tiger shark body package. It was just an amazing car.

Well anyways he told me, that he has a set of 2001 GMPP LPE Ported LS6 Heads with stock valves. Heads have been milled for a compression around 11:2.1. They come with Comp Cam 918 springs and Comp Cam shorter pushrods. They flow over 306cfm at .550 lift

He said he would sell the heads for $1500.00.

so here my questions is this a good deal?
are ligenfelter heads any good?
would these work on my ls1 without any issues?
and would the milling and use of short push rods cause any problems or would it be a typical head install...?

I have see similiar heads for $4000.00 and less flowing heads for around $1500 and $2000, so to me it sounds like a good deal.

Thanks guys!!!

from what I've seen ligenfelter doesn’t sell in stages, only CNC machined heads or hand ported heads, which these are the hand ported, and I believe they are compareable to stage 3 heads of other brands.

My concern is, are they worth the price with only being 3000miles used, how much added HP would I gain, and would the milling with shorter push rods along with the change in compression cause issues with my car.

They sell for $2000 new from any GMPP dealer. SDPC sells them ----------------->There was a new set still in boxes in the classifieds here a few days ago for $1400. They come with 02+ LS6 springs so the set you're looking at buying has been upgraded with 918 springs and you will be getting pushrods also. Lingenfelter heads usually get trashed a little here as not being the best bang for the buck. I have a set of their LS1 CNC heads on my car, but when I bought them 3 years ago, there was not the selection of heads available today.
