Default Loctite on rocker. Forgot am i okay?

Hello yall i forgot to put loctite on the rocker bolts when i was reinstalling them. I drove a 130miles so far on the car without any problems and used all new rocker bolts. I also torqued all rocker arm bolts to 22ftlbs. Should i be okay?

Dam i been told that i should of used silcone sealant on the rocker bolts because of the ported heads i forgot that as well i hope i am not fucked. I torqued everthing to spec and the car runs good. I hope me not using loctite and silcone sealnt wont cause any other problems i really dont want to go back in there if i dont have to.

I don't think I ever put loctite on the rocker arm bolts and it's been about two years now (~18K miles). You'll be fine as long as you torqued them down correctly.

If you use loctite on your rocker bolts u have a greater chance of rounding off a bolt when u have to pull the rockers one.

I used blue loctite under the head of the bolt, and thread sealant ( permatex paste ) on the intake threads. I also drove for 100 miles BEFORE I did the above so you're fine. Just get it done.

I don't think it's "necassary" to loctite anything. If it's torqued properly then it should be fine.

For most ported heads, don't the rocker bolt holes go straight into the intake and exhasut ports? On stock heads the rocker bolt holes do not go all the way through to the ports; right?

I thought this is why you should ALWAYS use locktight in the rocker bolts for ported heads.

Since this is a 2 hour fix, I would rip off the valve covers and go with the locktight....

Ditto for the cam retainer plate and cam pulley....

Why take a chance.... just my opinion, however... ?

Just to make sure i would keep a eye on the rocker arm bolts and go back and check them every so often just for sercurity.

If indeed the rocker arm bolts do go through to the ports, then you will start burning oil.
(Correct me if I am wrong)
I always thought that loctit was need to keep the oil from "seeping" through the rocker arm bolt.

For ported heads use Loctite PST thread sealer. My car used oil until I did this.
