Can a LS6 make 425 RWHP with the stock cam?
This question was asked on another forum. I answered no but several so called engine experts said yes. I've been reading posts about these engines for several years and I've never heard of anyone making 425 at the wheels without a new stick or juice.
What do you think? Can it be done and what would it take?

It's possible....New, better flowing headers (maybe FLP), change to higher ratio rockers (more lift on yor stock cam = more power) Add all the boltons and finish it off with a very good tune. 425 is certainlty doable

Yes, it could be done. As stated, a set of AFR 225's, and full bolt ons. LGM headers, FAST90, Electric WP, etc...
You could see 425. That'd be right around the max you'd see. But it is possible.

Yes, it could be done.. and if passing the sniffer, or a very stealthy setup is the goal, then it would definately achieve that.
But, on the other hand, why not have a cam cut with close to stock duration, but a ton of lift, like a cheater cam like te one that thunder sells, or somethign of the like... probably make life alot easier, and alot cheaper.
Hell, of my stock headed bolt on car with a little cam made 403 thru a 12 bolt and HD steel driveshaft... I'd think that a full bolt on car, with heads that were ported with the intent of using a very small cam could get another 20+ hp from what I am making.

Interesting. I would have never believed it.
My Z06 made 357/357 stock and after I added LG long tubes w/off road pipes and Halltech stinger intake I made 385/380 w/tune.

My ls6 makes 407 rwhp. Since then I have added a mezeir water pump, roller rockers and a throttle body and intake that I made bigger. I'm sure it'll make 420 rwhp when I dyno it again.
