Default 400 RWHP LS1 w/o heads & cam?

Anyone know what they do to get 400 RWHP on an LS1 long block?

well they said they got those results from an 01 Z06 so they had a beter starting point then a ls1 (hp wise), figure an Z06 with long tubes, exhaust, full good bolt ons, aggressive tune... that seems to be possible

It says they have a 400rwhp LS1 x-package. Don't know how they can do this, because I've never heard of a 400rwhp LS1 without heads/cam. What kind of magic dust are they using?

yeah i have never seen real fact that anyone has been able to do this on a stock ls1 longblock. there are a few whom have brought it up. but no real proof.not saying it cant be done. just a scretch.

Maybe they up the compression but dont change the heads and include longtubes, true duals, lsx90/90 and a nasty tune? That would be my guess...but who knows

maybe higher ratio rockers -fast 90/90 - great exhaust and maybe you could do pistons or mill heads for 4gs. My buddies zo6 dynoed 360 stock so you only need 40 ish whp

If its too good to be true it usually is, but every now and then sometimes things are too good to be true. why do they only do it inhouse, that would get me thinking twice.

This came up a while ago, and one of those guys came on here and posted. It seemed like total BS to me at the time, and still does. As far as I know, no one has made 400 rwhp with stock internals on a LS1. On a LS6, I think it could be done. I wouldn't buy anything from those tards.

OK "Speed Engineering" (LS1TECH Sponsor), here's your chance. You can tell us what you plan on doing to the engine (like other specialty shops do) and gain credibility with this group, or you can ignore this thread and confirm in everyone's mind that it is BS.

Your choice!
