Default Just got my cam specs. Whats your opinion?

I had a cam custom speced by my tunner. The specs are as follows.

228/232 595/595 on a 114. <----- what ya think?
Dual springs, titanium retainers. 7.375 pushrods.
Stock bottom end. Stock heads.
Fast 90mm intake and TB. 36lb injectors
Kooks 1 3/4 "race" style, Electric cutouts right after collectors.
A 100-125 wet shot. Eather the NX MAF or the TNT F2.
He says i should see 420-430 NA and then 520-550 on the bottle.
Opinions????

Wait, 7.375 on stock heads? Isn't that too short?

Looks like a good cam, like an F11-F12 range.

The shop I purchesed the whole set up through said that they were the proper length. I will find out when I have the cam in my hands and measure the base circle of the cam compard to the stock one.

I thought the base circle was smaller thus needing a slightly longer PR...I was going to go with 7.425 as suggest by a few on this board...

You will not see 430 hp at the rear-wheels (sae) with stock heads and that cam...

Some here on the forum have reported their factory pushrods at 7.385 length, others say 7.4. With 7.375 it will be close but maybe a little too short... The base-circle of that cam will be smaller than factory. I think I might have done 7.4 pushrods.

Post your dyno-graph when you get it done...

Looks like a good cam. The pushrods are pretty close.I've found that alot of factory setup's actually have too long of a pushrod.

I prefer the shorter PR's myself. A little less pre-load can only help. I agree that you won't see 420-430, but 410 shouldn't be out of the question.

But you can't complain once your engine sounds like a sewing machine...

Well if the 7.375 turn out to be to short I will just throw 7.4's in anfd see what happens. My tunner is promissing me it will put down those numbers. This is a set up that he has done many times and has produced those numbers.

Do you have the .006 duration of that cam?

I hope you see 430rwhp on stock heads, but I highly doubt it, even with the 90/90 and KOOKS LT's. Are the "Race Style" Kooks the high velocity merge kind?
