Default LQ9 in 98 camaro

im putting in my LQ9 this weekend.....i know the intake manifold has to be swappd to my ls6 but is there ne thing else i need to change over? I was told i have to use my ls1 alternator, a/c comp, etc...but i also heard something about the water pump....do i have to use a ls1 water pump or can i leave in the stock lq9? Any sensors need to be swapped over?

I think that the LS1 sensors will all work on that block.

yea
u have to reuse ur f-body balacer
the truck balancer has a different offset than the
f-body/y-body
the belts are a lot further away from the timing cover
use your stock wp
the truck wp has a differnt hose setup
just take alook at both of them side by side and
uwill see the diff
it will prolly cause hose configuration prob
if u use lq9 wp

oh and take a look at the knock sensors
i have used truck engines from the salvage yard and have found a few
rust damaged knock sensors for some reason
some have even fallen apart for some reason

also u will need to reuse your stock oil pan/pickup/windage tray
all the sensors should be the same
crank/cam etc.
