Default Looking to go ***** out... Need advice

Well I am picking up a 2002 T/A Ws6 soon. I want to do a turbo[twin preferred but single could be good too] kit/forged internals/heads/cam etc etc the whole 9 yards. I am fairly new to the ls1 market so please forgive my newbieness. Anyone got any suggestions as far as parts/tuning etc. Im looking for over 800+ at the wheels. This car will only be a weekend car/drag car.

Single turbo will be better.
You're gonna want a turbo speck prepped 6.0 L iron shortblock.
Some good heads.(AFR, ETP)
keep SCR into the 8.5>9.0 range
(Head studs)
TH 400/ or built T56
12 bolt/9 inch
etc............

If someone does it for you, yeah, it will be expensive.
But if you do it yourself, prolly around 30>35K $$$

Motor ~ 8500>10K
Tranny/coverter/conversion ~ 3500
Turbo/hot parts etc ~8500K
Management system and misc another 5>7K
Diff/suspension etc.. 4K

A cheaper way is a 550 RWHP 402/408 stroker and a 250>300 shot nitrous DP, progressive..

If its gonna be mostly a street car I think it would be cheaper to go with the 408 as mention before. Get like a fully forged 408 iron block, team that with some ET heads, a nice big cam, with about 11:1 compression, then squeeze a 200+ shot, and you would be north of 650+ rwhp easily and tons of torque. That would be much cheaper and a better street car IMO. If you go huge turbo then its gonna be impossible to hook up on the street, only good for roll races pretty much. If your set on going turbo though def go for it, just cheaper ways to get to those HP levels. Sounds like you will be building a monster no matter what, good luck with the build and let us know what you end up doing!
