Default MS3 and AFR 205's will this be a good setup

all my mods are in sig now.. i want to hit 470rwhp n/a. im also in the process of ordering the FAST 90/ NW 90 tb, 42# injectors. im basically looking to see if this head and cam package are a good setup for each other or should i take a step down on the cam and go a tad smaller. this is not a daily driver

I don't thing the MS3 will clear the AFR's, unless they are the "out the box" ones

that would be a great setup. you should get 470. might have to flycut the pistons though.

thats my main concern.. fitting this cam with heads... maybe i should just go with one of the other 5.3L heads like from TEA to up compression a bit since you dont have to mill them to up compression

have you considered the new dart pro 1 heads? you can use the ms3 with them.
not too sure about those crane rockers with the ms3 though.

i did consider the prc dart heads but im still thinking they are too new to assume anything about them.. i did talk to jason about them and said not mill them and i must use gm gaskets. my rocker arms are the factory 1.7's

if i can hit 450 n/a with stock heads then i would still be happy as i still have the juice to bring me up to 5xx-600rwhp. and ill save the 2g's that afr's cost and get a rear end...

opinions....

I would go with a PRC 2.5 5.3's. You would up the CR a tad and that would net you some more power. Also save you some cash as well.

Or:

Get some valve relieved pistons and run your AFR's and any cam you want.

I would save the money that you would spend on the AFRs and spend it on a 12 bolt or 9-inch. You are gonna need it being a M6 car

The MS3 clears AFR's. AFR's have more P2V clearance than stock heads. I asked Jason about this once. It's the same set up that one of the guys at TSP has on his daily driver.

My AFR 205s milled .030" had about .150" free drop on the intake valve. Pretty close to un-milled stock heads.
