That's pricey! I suspect they'll be getting a CARB certification soon.

Has anyone tried these heads yet?

remember when ported factory heads were $3500?

The Edelbrocks are a new casting also, and you know they make quality stuff. Just the name alone will probably sell many pairs.

Plus the CNC program they use is from Lingenfelter. Another big name, and those guys know a little about these LS1's.

its all about paying for the name.
i believe there will be sets sold.
it will be those guys with the edelbrock heads and a .540 lift cam that make 600hp and win all the street races.

it will be a long time before i'll pay 2700.00 for a new head unless quite a few people have some "proven" results.i'm a machinist,i know about how long it takes to machine aluminum and even though the cnc machines are very expensive 2700.00 sounds way too high.

You might as well buy an ugly turbo charger and use your stock heads.

Those Summit Edelbrocks better be up 30-40 hp on everyone else for that price. I'm sure they won't be.

Does anyone actually know that these in fact don't provide enough gains for the money or is the bashing just b/c it's a lot of money?

why dont you guys just get it!! lol...i mean everybody here says you get what you pay for...i mean if you can spend 1500 bucks for headers and 2200 bucks for some afr heads...im sure you can drop an extra 600 bucks for those heads...lol...seems like everybody recommends all the expensive stuff..
