Default Should I get new lifters?

I finally ordered my forged 347ci and LS6 CNC ported heads from TSP. I asked them wheter or not I should replace the stock lifters, and they said I was fine and shouldn't bother.

I trust them, but thought I ask all of you anyways. Please look at mods in sig as well.

Yes.
You shouldn't take a short cut since it is a new motor.

Get the melling lifters for 165 just for piece of mind.

Suppose you dont need them, youre out an extra $165 and about ten minutes of your time. Suppose you do need them. Youre out $800 (cam, lifters, gaskets, bolts) and about 20 hours of your time.

For the cost of comps stock replacement lifters, I would change them and the plastic trays. I was in the same boat when I built my moter. The stock engine had 29k on the clock and ran like a top. The way I looked at was I'm spending 7K building a new engine why skimp on $150 lifters.

Not sure I understand, is TSP doing an assembled motor and you changing the lifters they install, or are you fitting in your current hardware into a shortblock with new heads.

They are doing an assembled motor and I'm putting in all my mods below into it, along with new heads.

If they are doing an assembled motor, then I would assume they are installing new lifters as well, which should be OK unless you want to invest in an upgrade like the Morel's.
