Default Anyone have problem w/ .040 MLS Gaskets?

Looking at purchasing a set, just want to check to see if their have been any issues. I know ppl say to check the P/V clearance, where I should be fine w/ a 228R Cam.

On a side note: I'll be running a 11.34:1 CR, anything that I should watch out for there?

No problems here and I think my cr is the same or just a tad higher. make sure to check how much your pistons come out the hole mine were .006

Yes, this is true. I didn't do this and I found out that my block had been decked. With .040" cometics, I had around .025" squish, so I had to go with .051.

Measure your piston height out of the block.

What's the standard rating for piston height on our LS1s? I mean I don't see any of the mods I've done to date changing that height.

I think the OEM height os .007, but I guess any where from .005-.008 is norm.
