Default PRC/Dart 225 runner question

Ok heres were Im confused, If the Dart head comes from Dart as a 225cc runner, then PRC ports them. They would no longer be a 225cc runner. Correct? It would be Im guessing around 245cc. Then why are they still being called PRC/Dart 225 just becasuse they start off as a 225?

Or are they taking a 205cc runners & making them 225cc? Can someone clarify?

Thanks

Call Jason @ TSP
I think they start out as 205 and then port the runners.

Im having a custom set of fully cnc ported (PRC) Dart Stage-III heads built with 2.100" int. & 1.60" ext. valves and 59cc chambers 250cc intake runners for a 4.030" bore aluminum LS2 418 ,I was told i should get the by the end of the month ,because Dart is behind on there orders, And Texas Speed said they would come with a flow sheet and ill post it up when i get the heads. Texas Speed told me that the stage III come in two differant runners 245cc & 255cc.after the cnc work.

I would love to have a set of Dart heads. I am looking for a next mod. How far behind is Dart on the orders?

So are all stage III Dart/PRC heads 245 or 255 runners? or do they make a stage III 225 like in the post "orangepeel" posted his flow #'s from a stage III 225 heads? I guess this is where Im confused. Doesnt make sense to me.

TSP shows Dart Stage 2 and Dart Stage 3. I don't see the runner anywhere.

Dart has a 205 and 225 rough casting.

I think the bare casting is around 200cc and then PRC ports it to 237cc for the Stage 2 and 245/255cc for the Stage 3.

Does that clarify?

I don't know my final intake runner volume, no data came with the heads, I'm guessing they are probably a 205 casting hogged out to a 225 intake runner if they are selling them as 225's, but who really knows. I should have had my set measured.

I'm just going to run 'em and cross my fingers they make the power I need.

TSP had advertised them in another thread as a 237 intake runner that started out as a 205 before porting. I think these have proven to work well with larger cams, haven't seen results with small cams.

Then his wouldnt be a Dart/PRC satge III 225 right? It would be a 237. Why would they slap 225 on there if its a 237?

As I said before, TSP doesn't sell a PRC Dart 225. They sell the PRC Dart Stage 2 or 3. You can buy Dart 205s or 225s from them, but PRC hasn't touched them, hence the "as cast" moniker.

Ok, so what are these then?

Other than that. I understand now.

They said they got the full stage 3 port job, with the bigger valves, etc. So I'm guessing it's a 245 or 255cc now. I'm so tired of thinking about this setup right now, I just want to see what it does, if it doesn't make the power (500+rwhp), then the heads will be the first thing to get looked at, as I have all the supporting mods to handle 500+ or more. I'm hoping the bigger valves and higher compression (11.5/1 area, not exactly sure) will get it done. I have one of the best tuners as a friend so I have no worries that the tune will be perfect.

313cfm will support 500rwhp no problem.

There are some CNC Ported Darts recently listed on the airflow thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/317323-interesting-flow-data-long-thread.html
Don't know whose they are, but the runner volume is HUGE considering the flow numbers!
