Default length of install

Im haveing my brother install heads anda cam at his dealership so he has most of the tools available my question is how long will it take

It takes a while. 8-10 is normal.

I would be very impressed if one guy could do it in a day if it's his first time.

Normally a header install takes about a day to get everything done right by one guy.

And removing then reinstalling headers is only PART of the heads/cam install.

Mine took about 18 hours with me and a mechanic friend working. That time includes cracking the oil pan and replacing it though. But, plan on at least one thing going wrong, and give yourself time for it.

With the right tools I would say around 10 hours.

I can do it in about 10 hours. Takes me about 4 hours to tear it down and 6 to clean and reinstall everything. I spend extra time adjust the valve train with shims, and torqueing everything in steps takes a while.
