Default gt2-3 cam: which springs, change interval

I'm pretty much decided on the GT2-3 cam. which springs are best? How long can I go before changing them? Also, anyone get any valvetrain noise from this cam?

the car will be exhaust manifolds and stock exhaust, so i want the valvetrain quiet too. If you can think of a better cam (I'm going for total sleeper here) chime in with that too.

thanks

Joe

use comp 918's and check them after 20k if you want. The valvetrain noise is not too bad, after its warmed up nice its pretty quite. This is the best full sleeper cam in my opinion.

thanks guys. When you say 'check them' do you mean verify seat pressure?

I'm running the LS6 springs the kit comes with. I had 12K on the original springs when I sold my stock heads. Now have 2K on new LS6 springs with the new heads. Very quiet, cold or hot. Start up is a little noisy but so was the stock setup.

That cam isn't much more aggressive than the stock LS6 cam. With LS6 springs, you could probably go 80k without a spring change.

West Coast Corvette sells the LS6 valve springs with that kit, and it's an entire package, go for it.
