MS3 Track times
Well as some of you know I was B*tching before cause my MS3 cam only put down 362 RWHP, ell here is the track results. Whats some opinions?
I went to the track yestrerday and with NO suspension mods what so ever not even control arms on an ALL SEASON Kumo tire (275-35-18) on a Z-06 wheel here was my best run with currently 273's. all passes were within a half a tenth of each other.
60'...1.728
330...4.980
1/8...7.712
mph...89.89
1000...10.062
1/4...12.062
mph...112.32
That 60' time is on the previously mentioned tire no weight reduction and completly stock suspension with the exception of a strut tower brace. what does every body think about gearing? I have 10's or 342's collecting dust. one set will go in this next weekend if I decide to still ditch the 273's. I still think 1.7 60' is amazing on street tires and a 2200 launch. (Just for amusing bragging rights I had the fastest streety car at the test and tune all day!) the cobra boys were not happy about this.

Interesting..I thought I ight have just had a shitty dyno..Using another calculator a guy I
Know did some estimates and those times are good for 490-520 flyheel hp and 390-420
RWHP depending on driveline loss based on the cars weight (3650 with me in it) and the ET's and speeds and times.

Never heard of it. I went to Route 66, I also going to US 41 Dragway in IN and will probably hit up Byron in Rockford IL this year cause from 9:30-4:00 I only got 4 runs in at 66 because of how packed it alays is. Its just nice and close to me (15-20 in ride).

yea buddy just ran a 12.2 at 110 with something like 1.67
hes 342 geard,4k stall, stock supsension with spool torque arm, MT DRs,LS6 intake,TSP tune
last year with same setup and a different in house tune done by streetnstrip he ran 12.0 at 112 i believe.
his dyno numbers were from 2weeks ago
its odd a combo like this would run slower with a TSP tune then a in house tune from SNS

I was looking at this cam also but that et/mph is bolt on only territory. I wonder why they are lacking hp and running so slow? I dont understand why there are so many differences between cars on here with pretty much the same parts....
I understand there are a lot of guys that lighten their cars up pretty good and run some great number and dont make much mention of weight and then the slower guys wonder whats wrong with their cars....No matter what I would expect more mph out of that cam. It cant be just luck, why do some cars run .5 second quicker than others with the same mods????

With those gears you're probably going through the traps in third gear at about ~4600 RPM (help me here), whereas a guy with 4.10s is seeing significantly higher RPM. A dyno sheet will show you that the car is making quite a bit more HP (read MPH) at higher RPM.
Long story short: I believe not only your ET, but also your MPH is suffering due to your gear.
