Default My Comp 224 Showed up today, now what?

I am buying some 918 w/ tit. retainers...Any other specifics I'll need? What size pushrods would I use? It's a 224/224 .581 .581 on 114 LSA -4 degrees of overlap...Where is the CHEAPEST place to get these items? I'm slowly going broke.

You gotta pay to play! I would go with stock length pushrods and maybe a 7.425 for a quieter valvetrain. You would find them the cheapest in the for sale section as used, possibly new, items. Other than that check out a few of the sponsors and see what they will quote you at.

now what?

1. Take cam out of box
2. Throw in trash
3. Buy bigger ***** and a bigger cam

haha jk.

Comp Cams has the 7.400" hardened pushrods, they're pretty cheap, or you could find a set on ebay.

Wanna still pass smog wish I could have gone bigger but this will do for now. Should be a diff going from stock to this.

I also have Jet Hot Performance PCM and an SLP (delphi) 85mm MAF...Is there anything wrong with these? I've heard I should go back to a stock PCM but nothing about the MAF.

And I have to save up for awhile for the QTP LTs I want..Can I still run the cam without a tune until then? What problems would I run into?

MAF is poop, my car came with when I bought it. I have a stock maf here and when I go to tune my car after the cam whichever works better is what I'll run, I'm too lazy to buy new fittings to convert back to stock MAF.

FWIW I'd stick with stock to aviod all hastle...

PMed ya back on the spring and retainers.

You can get away with the stock pushrods for now. How many miles on your timing chain? You can get a LS2 timing chain pretty cheap. Hows your oil pressure? Mine has always be high, so I never opted for a new oil pump. Then again, I am only at 13,xxx miles on the car.

Are you doing the install yourself?

When I first slid in the cam, I did not have headers. But not long after, I gained 30 rwhp with TTS long tubes.

You should be fine on the stock tune for now.
