Default 7 of 8 tranny bolts enough?

I couldnt get the pass side tranny to bell housing bolt on when everything was bolted up, my bad for not trying earlier so i left it.

I figure with the other 7 tight and dowels in the tranny it should be fine.

You guys agree?

Thats what I did also. The guy helpin me do it said he never puts that one back in his either. He runs in the 11.6 range & his car see a good amount of action, so I figured I was ok.

Thanks guys....
You said you had a problem on the drivers side?
you have an m6?
I just did all the bolts last night, i used a few extensions and a knuckle with electrical tape on it to stiffen it and the drivers side was pretty good. I was able to start all the bolts on the driver side with finger, top one wasnt that easy but took a min or two to start.

I think it will be fine. I had trouble with that damn bolt with the rosebud clip on it. I think I crossthreded the bastard the first time, but it went in smoothly the second time, holds well.

I voted no only because im OCD and I'd think about that damn bolt every time I shifted the car.

Im an analyst for a team of aircraft engineers for UTC; I turned around asked them.

Their response: No problem.

We just got mine back in this weekend. Couldn't find the 8th bolt, so we left the top driver side bolt out and put the last bolt in the very top bolt hole of the bellhousing.
