Default Is there a way to tell which stock rod bolts you have?

I have a late 2000 build date car. I has 241 heads on it. Is there a way to tell if I have the 01+ improved rod bolts?

I dont think you can tell without pulling the oil pan. Although the fact that you have 241 heads is a good sign thats its probably a later model motor from 2000.

Should have clarified. I will be pulling the pan, just wanted to know if I can visually tell without taking anything loose.

I tend to agree that while youre in there and the pan is off, it wouldnt be too difficult to simply change them out. Then you can spin as high as youd like to. The ARPs are only ~60.

Don't want to change them because I would rather spend the money elsewhere, and I really am not keen on the idea of disturbing a critical bolted joint. I would not use arp if I were to change them.

I only plan to spin to 6500 with the new setup, so I guess I will just leave them alone. They have survived fine with my current 6600 rpm limit.

thats a good way to go if your only going to 6500,i wouldnt go any higher,at least me personally, the gains are minimal for the risk you take going over 6500.
