Question low price ls2 heads

I was doing a little shopping and seen some assembled ls2 heads for $280 each. Here's the site. You have to scroll down the page a little to see it. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...ges=1&pkgid=55 I had no idea you could get these that cheap. Are these a direct bolt on with no mods including accessory brackets and stuff? If not will they work with some minor moding? And most importantly is this a good improvement over the stock ls1 heads? FYI: I am planing on get an ls6 intake, pacesetter lt's, and maybe something like a tr224 cam, but not sure on the cam until I now what's going to work with the heads I'll have. I may even keep the stock heads cause I don't really wanna drop 2 grand on heads.

thats a badass deal on some decent heads. i think they are like a ls6 head. it will probably have a larger chamber coming from a 6.0 but you can have it milled to bring down the chamber size i think. i can't wait to see what some more people say about your find. good job.

The LS2 heads and LS6 heads are the same. The only differences are the valves(LS6's have light weight valves)

Gotta watch our for the hefty shipping charges. $61.63 per head which brings up the cost per head to $341.77. An okay deal, but for a few hunderd more you can get Patriot CNC'd heads.

That's a great deal for those heads. Port and polish them yourself and take them out for some milling.

I was just going to point you in this direction...

However ls2/ls6 heads wont gain you much over stock heads. You shoudl really look into ported ls6 heads. Gunnar has some great deals going on now. Dont forget that you can get dual springs installed on the heads that will support a good size cam.
