Custom cam, specs suggested by P.G. LS1tech member
I just wanted to say thanks to Patrick for all the help, and explaining what my cam specs need to be to help me out on my quest for 500 rwhp.
Patrick suggested 238/248 .605/.615 110 LSA +3 I have some questions:
1. My pistons have been flycutt to accept the G5X3, will there need to be any additional flycutting for proper PVC??
2. How much more power do you think I could see above and below the curve if I change to a custom cam with the above specs??
3. 921's should have no problem correct ??
Thanks again to Patrick, and thanks to any sponsors who give me their input on this.

He and I had talked a while back about a little bit larger custom cam. It was essentially a "high lift T-Rex". Here are it's specs:
239/247 .649/656" 109LSA +1
I never got to try it out as I am obviously going with an entirely different route with the car. But yes, Patrick G is a cam god and we are lucky to have him on here! Patrick G!
Make sure you post up your numbers! You are doing the Fast 90/90 and Mezzeire pump too, correct?

Patrick gave me some advice also, pointed me towards Geoff at Thunder Racing for spec'ing out a cam. After talking with him I'm satisfied I made the right decision by listening to Patrick.

Might want to pm J-Rod also. They have a nasty H&C car with a custom cam that made over 500rwhp. They use to run an LG cam. The guy who spec'd the cam for them is not a site vendor though. I'm sure everyone knows who he is anyway.

Yeah... FlowTech Induction...
The Hellion... *cough* Ed Curtis *cough* which has lobes that are more aggressive than an LSK but with less lift.
Or something custom, but the Hellion was designed for use with the AFR or ETP 225. So, it should work well with the 205s.
That's not a slam against anyone on this board by recommending a nonsponsor, but Ed has access to a lot more lobe profiles than the XE-R, LSK, and Cammotion lobes everyone seems to mix and match to create the off-the-shelf and custom grinds. Since you're already supporting a vendor, it might be worth the time to look elsewhere for something a bit more unconventional.

I corresponded with Lou Gigliotti about my cam options. As much as I appreciate P.G.s suggestion, I am going to take Lou's suggestion and let him do something custom for my particular application, or run the G5X4.
Thank you to everyone that posted up and tried to help me out with my questions.
LS1tech members seem to be very helpful, just wanted to say thanks.
