As long as you have checked the obvious, a random misfire code can happen with a cam. I would dump the hypertech tune and get a real dyno tune.

I am also not able to rev it up past about 4300 rpms....even at full throttle...it's like it's just not getting all the air and fuel it needs...anyone ever seen this be4??

By miss you mean like backfire?

I had one side of my coil pack wire harness switched 180 degres out of sink.

no i have not had a backfiring problem...but the engine missing badly...the whole motor will shake....i guess there is a chance i could have mine on backwards as well i will have to double check that

Well, if its not backfiring then I dont think thats your problem. Mine was backfiring bad so I turned it off and then thought.. hhmmm, wonder if the harness is backwards. And sure enough it was and it purred like a cammed beast!

So your saying you get "missfire" on all 8 cylinders?

I know on my 04 Z71 I had a bad O2 sensor on one side wich caused the motor/truck to sputter and shake. Technically, it was sensing lean so it would throw alot of gas in that side of the motor. Had it scanned it said "misfire".. Just a thought.
